DJI, the world’s most well-known Quadcopter and gymbal manufacturer has brought a camera that you can attach to your Inspire 1 Drone. The camera is geared to show heat distribution. It sounds pretty simple, but if you look at it’s application, the possibilities are endless.
Farmers can use it to analyse the irrigation of their land, and whether certain areas are not watered properly. This is huge for South Africa, where serious drought has affected yield.
Firefighters can see where a fire’s main heat centre is in a building so they can strategically target rather than walk into a burning building faced with the unknown.
These are just some of the uses. And with this type of tech, we have only found a small percentage of the applications it can be used for. You can find more details here.
